"Solar Power in the
bush", 4x4 or on a boat:
Being able to use solar power is so convenient, especially
when travelling to African countries (and busy SA camp sites)
where one always takes the chance of either having no available
power supply or fluctuating voltage in the 220volt power supply.
This can and has been very costly to many who have damaged
expensive items such as freezers and other electrical equipment.
Be completely self sufficient when it comes to running 12
and 220volt appliances such as:
- Freezers
- Hair dryers
- Bread making machines
- Computors
- Electric drills
- Battery charging
- Lighting
We have, over the past couple of years, tested what we feel
to be the ultimate solar power system, and are now confident
to offer this product on the market. The testing was done
using a 105amp Willard deep cycle battery, as fitted in our
trailers, in conjunction with a 4.1 amp solar panel and 1,5
Kw invertor running the lights and freezer 24 hours per day
and baking our own fresh bread in the 220 volt bread machine!
The system operates via the 105 amp deep cycle battery (electrics
option) Solar Panel to battery - battery to invertor - invertor
= 220 volts ac.
The 1 ,5Kw (1500 watts) invertor enables you to run any items
up to 1500 watts with safety. If the power draw-off is too
much, the invertor will simply cut out and not operate at
all, thus not subjecting your appliance to low or over voltage.
The system can be fitted to any off-road trailer, boat or
4 x 4 vehicle.
